Getting started with SirSync only takes a few minutes. Follow the steps below to install the plugin, activate your license, and begin syncing content between your WordPress websites.
Step 1: Install SirSync
SirSync is available in two editions:
- SirSync (Free) – Download and install the free plugin from the WordPress Plugin Directory.
- SirSync Pro – Purchase a license at sirsync.com to unlock premium features.
After purchasing SirSync Pro, sign in to your account on sirsync.com. From your My Account page, click Download to download the latest version of the SirSync Pro plugin.
Step 2: Install the Plugin
In your WordPress admin dashboard:
- Go to Plugins > Add New Plugin.
- Click Upload Plugin.
- Select the downloaded SirSync Pro ZIP file.
- Click Install Now.
- Click Activate Plugin.
If you are using the free version, you can install it directly from the WordPress Plugin Directory instead of uploading a ZIP file.
Step 3: Access SirSync
Once activated, SirSync can be accessed from:
Tools > SirSync
This is where you’ll configure your site pairing, connect your license, manage deployments, and access all SirSync settings.
Step 4: Activate Your SirSync Pro License
If you’re using SirSync Pro, you’ll need to activate your license before pairing your websites.
- Log in to your account at sirsync.com.
- Navigate to My Account > SirSync Licenses.
- Add the website URLs you plan to use with SirSync.
- Copy your license key.
- On each WordPress site where SirSync Pro is installed, navigate to Tools > SirSync.
- At the bottom of the Settings page, paste your license key into the License Key field.
- Click Save & Check License.
If your license is valid, SirSync will verify your website and activate your license. Once your license has been successfully activated on each site, you’re ready to pair your websites and begin deploying content.
Next Steps
Now that SirSync is installed and your license is activated, the next step is pairing your websites so they can securely communicate with each other.
